As an American I explore Morocco’s successful civilian demonstration that chased colonial Spain out of the Sahara. It was the largest peaceful resistance event in world history. 350,000 unarmed civilians faced General Franco’s soldiers, defied their orders and stepped over the barbed wire.

No shots were fired. The soldiers packed up and Spain gave up their claim to the land.

Filmed in Orlando and Morocco in 2025.
